Central & Southwest Virginia Honor Flight invites Veterans from Bedford, Lexington, Charlottesville, Roanoke, Salem, Lynchburg, Martinsville, Danville, and across the region to visit their war memorials in Washington D.C. Every trip is completely free of charge to the Veteran, with all expenses covered (transportation, meals, lodging, etc.).

Sample Trip Itinerary

Friday:

  • Meet & Greet in Bedford, Virginia for Veterans, Guardians, and Family

  • Tour the National D-Day Memorial

  • Depart Bedford, Virginia via Motor Coach

  • Visit the National Museum of the U.S. Army

  • Arrive to Hotel in Fairfax, Virginia

Saturday: 

Tour Washington, D.C. with potential stops including:

  • Air Force Memorial

  • Arlington National Cemetery

  • Korean War Veterans Memorial

  • Lincoln Memorial

  • Marine Corps War Memorial

  • Military Women’s Memorial

  • National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial

  • Navy Memorial

  • Tomb of the Unknown Solider

  • Vietnam Veterans Memorial

  • World War II Memorial

Sunday: 

  • Return to Bedford, Virginia via Motor Coach

  • Welcome Home Ceremony
